Eye Problems

Eye problems are very serious and can be devastating for dogs and their owners. Early detection of eye problems increases the chance of successful treatment. Many of the conditions named below can appear at different stages of a dog's life, and for that reason, we highly recommend regular CERF testing, starting at two years of age, then annually till 5 years, then every two years after that. By having your dog checked by a CERF specialist, even subtle abnormalities can be identified and the incidence of these diseases in the breed can be monitored.
