Hernias

Umbilical hernias in Leonbergers are fairly uncommon. Leonbergers usually have small umbilical hernias, but as with any other potentially hereditary condition, care should be taken when choosing breeding partners. Some hernias may not be hereditary, but they are difficult to distinguish from those that are.
