  • The Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, home of the recently completed Canine Genome Sequencing Project, is conducting a study to map the genetic differences between healthy dogs and dogs with osteosarcoma. The Leonberger is one of the breeds included in this study, and the Institute is requesting as many blood samples as possible, from both affected and unaffected dogs.

  • The Canine Genetics Research Laboratory at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine is conducting a research project to try to develop a DNA-based test for Inherited Leonberger Polyneuropathy. They are requesting blood samples from both affected and unaffected Leonbergers.
